A Hidden Crime: Uncovering Human Trafficking In Hotels
Audience: Law Enforcement Only.
The objective of this course is to educate participants about the critical issue of human trafficking as it relates to the hotel industry, equipping them with the knowledge, tools, and strategies needed to recognize, prevent, and respond to human trafficking incidents in hospitality settings. Through a combination of theoretical insights, practical case studies, and interactive discussions, participants will learn about the signs of trafficking, the legal and ethical responsibilities of hotel staff, and effective reporting and intervention techniques. By the end of the course, law enforcement officers will be empowered to foster a safer, more vigilant environment within their establishments and contribute to broader efforts against human trafficking.

Human trafficking is a significant problem in the United States. It involves the use of force, fraud, or coercion to exploit people for labor and/or commercial sex. Traffickers often target vulnerable individuals, including women, children and migrants, and use grooming tactics such as false promises, manipulation, and violence to control them.
The objective of this course is to educate individuals about the issue of human trafficking, its prevalence, and its effects on victims and society as a whole.
